Letter in the Sky

At its heart, Letter in the Sky is a letter recognition app for toddlers and young children. Uppercase and lowercase letters are formed out of clouds. Your child will enjoy interacting with each individual cloud in addition to guessing the cloud shape associated with each letter.

Features

Cloud Shapes Mode

Once a user chooses a letter, the left side of the screen will show cloud formations of the letter in uppercase and lowercase. Each cloud within the letter formations can be clicked on. Once clicked the cloud will display an effect and play a cheerful sound. The goal is to give toddlers an introduction to letter recognition.

Cloud Shapes Mode

On the right side of the screen is a cloud formation of an object that starts with the letter shown. For example, a cloud shape that resembles a dog will appear when the letter “D” is selected. Your child will have fun guessing the cloud formation. Once the cloud formation is clicked on an outline will appear, and the name of the object displays at the bottom of the screen.

Free Draw Mode

In Free Draw mode make your own cloud shapes for your child to guess, or have your child make shapes for you to guess! Clouds will appear when a finger is dragged along the screen.

Free Draw Mode

Hit the Clear button to have all of the clouds disappear.

Letter Trace Mode

Letter Trace mode is a new addition to this latest update. It is perfect for children interested in starting to learn the processes of writing letters.

Letter Trace Mode

Our customers have noticed that children will naturally start tracing the letters in the Cloud Shapes Mode, with this feedback we added a mode that purposefully teaches the child how to draw letters. Just like in Cloud Shape mode there will be an uppercase and lowercase version of the letter. Instructions will appear that show the child the individual steps it takes to write the letter.

Parent Mode

We placed the $0.99 In-App Purchase in a Parent Mode to reduce purchases that have not been approved by parents. In order to enter Parent Mode, a math question will need to be answered.
